Alessio is an Intellectual Property (IP) specialist with a particular interest in technology. He has worked for top tier Law Firms in the EU market, whereby he advised multinational companies in the management of their IP portfolio, coordinating the maintenance and enforcement of IP assets in different jurisdictions. Alessio focuses on any IP-related aspect, particularly trademarks, designs, designations of origins, copyright, patents and trade secrets, as well as technology related issues concerning e-commerce websites, marketplaces and online platforms. In parallel, he has developed a strong knowledge in blockchain for IP and, as a result of his expertise in this field, he has taken part to several panels such as the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Barcelona Lawyers’ Bar Association (ICAB). Aside from his day-to-day legal practice, Alessio is a vivid writer with publications in newspapers and specialized blogs on different topics mainly revolving around IP and blockchain in Spanish, English and Italian.
In his free time, he never misses a TechCrunch newsletter, he is a wine lover and active sportsman, particularly fond of football and skiing.
First steps
Prior to his two years’ employment at Baker McKenzie (Barcelona branch), Alessio trained in both an Italian and a Spanish Law firms in the field of IP Law and worked as in-house legal counselor in an education startup based in the UK. His multi-cultural education includes experiences in Italy, Switzerland, China, Spain and the UK, giving him a strong global legal perspective.
